I love to swap nail polish and today I will show you two polishes I recently got from a swap and my swatches of the color.
First I got OPI's Give Me The Moon from OPI Night Brights Collection that came out way back in 2007. This was the collection with the original My Private Jet and Ink.
Give Me The Moon is a pale blue silver. Its a baby blue with a lot of silver. I think its fresh and light and I didn't own any color like this before. I just did not know if it would look good on my nails but its a hard color to find and when I could swap for it I did!
This OPI color is definitely sheer and it took me three coats. You do still get VNL with this polish but its not bad. I love how airy this blue silver is. Its very pretty and unique and I think it makes a great summer color.
Mediterraneo Sea is a Borghese that happened to arrive to me at exactly the right time. I had a huge formal event the next day and this was the color that matched my dress perfectly! I was so happy.
I love Borghese's super wide brush and I find the quality of the polishes to be great. I just have a hard time forking over $8 for a drugstore polish so I like to buy these on sale or in swaps.
Mediterraneo Sea is a very pretty dark teal with glitter. There is blue, purple and silver glitter in this polish and although it dries matte with a topcoat this polish is a stunner!
Mediterraneo Sea was a very opaque glitter lacquer and I needed only two coats. Application was a breeze with the Borghese Brush. As I said before this polish dries matte and I wanted it to be glossy so I added a topcoat. The only problem is that this matte polish chips faster with a topcoat in my opinion.
I really liked both of these polishes and Im glad I now have these lacquers in my stash! Which one did you like more?
