Watches

Ive never been the type of person to carry a watch. Im always the one checking my phone or asking someone as to what time it is. My father has always loved watches, kind of the same way I covet designer bags, but as I am a female and he a male I have no interest for his masculine hand-me-downs.

watches

Timex watch / Michael Kors sport watch / La Mer thin watch / MICHAEL Michael Kors tortoise watch / Michael Kors wrap watch, $340 / Tommy Hilfiger logo watch / Michael Kors jewelry / Urban Outfitters leather jewelry / Michael Kors chronograph watch / Sekonda sparkle jewelry / Neon watch / Just Cavalli chunky jewelry, $325 / FOSSIL leather jewelry / Toy Watch jelly watch, $150 / Michael Kors jewelry / Wet Seal rhinestone watch / Sprout Watches / Timex watch / Ted Baker watch / Mantaray logo watch, $25 / Timex watch

As I get older I am starting to find some key pieces that I can wear on a daily basis that are classic. A watch is certainly that.

I have been dying for a tortoise shell watch and although Michael Kors has some I really like I ended up buying this Anne Klein version on sale. Its a perfect size on my wrist and the band is just the right length. I actually wanted a silver and tortoise watch but I really like how the gold pops.

Do you wear a watch? Is it trendy or classic or do you just look at your phone?

I used to wear them all the time -- until I carried around a cell phone 24/7! lol!! My hubby still loves watches though... especially Fossil!

Love the Michael Korr watch! I have a trendy one, and a men's one, a rubber one. Depends on my mood, and most are pretty much inexpensive because I knew know what kind of jam I might be in..to lose one. But I do love watches.

I love a good watch. I have about 3. I don't wear them as much as I used to. I like to have one more like jewelry. Yet, I like my man's watch too.

These are so cool.

I love a watch. And one day you will probably appreciate your dad's collection. What a neat thing to collect!

I've been wearing watches since I was about 3 years old. I'm left-handed and I wear my watch on the right, which is what I thought one was supposed to do - wear in on the opposite arm front the one you right with. For some reason I always get into debates with people about that - I've been told that no matter what hand your write with, you're supposed to wear it on your left wrist. Now I'm so accustomed to wearing it on the right, that it feels strange to have it on my left... it also feels strange to wear any bracelets on the left, but I'm trying to to get used to it. Anyway, I used to have about 7 Fossil watches (I know they aren't "high end", but they have great warranties and I've never had a problem with them), but it was excessive to have so many, considering I only wore one regularly - my silver boyfriend watch that I bought on eBay about 4 years ago. It's really my accessory of choice. I'm considering getting a gold one maybe. I had a tortoise one that I LOVED, but I personally didn't get a lot of wear out of it, so I passed it back to the universe.

I have a nice Swiss watch that my grandma gave me for my confirmation, but I save it for special occasions. Other than that, I've been dying to get a watch forever. Even though I can just look at my phone for the time, they're so fashionable these days and add an updated look to any wardrobe.

May not gel with the preppy look but I think a woman wearing a mans watch can be very chic! Don't discount your Dad's hand me downs!

I am so not a watch person, can't stand the way it feels on my wrist. It's an awful shame because there are SO many cute watches out there, they keep coming out with cuter designs than the last. I just don't think I'll ever be able to do it, aha!

I wear my fossil man's watch most days, sometimes switch it up with my boccia leather watch. I really want the Kate Spade confetti watch though!

I never used to be a 'watch wearer' but I finally bought a Michael Kors watch when I found a really, really good deal last November. I think there have been more days that I have worn than not :) I love it! I still tend to check my phone for the time though!

I love your watch! I actually bought a tortoise shell Fossil watch and I wear it all the time. I love the Michael Kors version, but it was just too big for my wrist!

I think a big chunky men's watch can be so cute on a girl. I just never wear a watch myself. I find them too heavy, and prefer the weight and feel of a bracelet. I just look at my phone for the time!

I have a small silver Citizen Eco-Drive watch that I wear on a daily basis. I hope at some point to get either a larger Movado museum watch to match my husbands or a vintage watch.

Thanks for commenting on my blog!

Watches are more convenient to look whenever you want to find out the time as compared to mobile phones or other handy devices. And of course, it can add a different look to one's personality.
