Nantucket Brand Review and Giveaway

 Friday, October 5, 2012

It's fall and the temperature is starting to fall. There is a looming challenge I seem to face every time I open up my closet. My preppy closet just is not prepared for fall. How can I wear my pretty pink and green surrounded by pumpkins, burnt orange and red colors, and falling leaves? I need to turn to my pieces of preppy clothing that is a little more warm for cooler days.

My perfect piece for fall?

My Nantucket Brand Madras Hoodie.

Nantucket Brand was founded in 2005 by Nantucket Island native Andrew Maury and is now run by the Maury family, including Andrew's parents and brothers. The Maury family has island roots dating back to 1945 when Andrew's grandfather, John Maury, purchased The Emporium of Nantucket from a local shopkeeper. The family's long island history gives them an understanding of the Nantucket lifestyle and history, which is reflected in our products. Our whale and compass logo itself draws on Nantucket's past as the whaling capital of the world from 1800 to 1840. And our clothing is designed for the casual lifestyle that Nantucket offers yet with a refined look that boasts style. The Maury family still proudly operates The Emporium of Nantucket, located in cobblestoned downtown Nantucket at 33 Main Street. The store has three departments; gifts, home furnishings and of course it's Nantucket Brand clothing department. While our store on Main Street in Nantucket will always be our flagship store, the line is also available at many fine retailers up & down the east coast, and online.

Hoodies are a staple in every girl's wardrobe but its hard to find one that is as stylish as it is comfortable. I have always given up on the quest to find the perfect hoodie but alas it was right there in front of me (on the internet) at Nantucket Brand.

I love the Newport Madras fabric. The blue plaid and light blue lining is the perfect way to add fall into preppy looks.

When I got the sweatshirt I thought it looked really short. Upon trying it on, I realized that it is the perfect length. This hoodie hits right at the hip so it looks a bit more polished than the normal sweatshirt.

I love my hoodie. It is high quality, which is something you can expect from Nantucket Brand, and fashionable. The white zipper and blue lining makes the sweatshirt work for warmer months as well as fall. I can see myself choosing this sweatshirt for a cooler summer day as well as into the autumn months.

Nantucket Brand is giving one follower a Madras Hoodie in the same Newport Pattern. Trust me you want to win this giveaway. The Hoodie is AMAZING!

It's easy to get caught up in fall trends, I am currently sporting an entire oxblood look on my blog right now. I can't wait to try out more trends- like a sporty anorak.

Thanks for another great giveaway girly!
You definitely too spoil your followers too much :)
I'm not objecting though!

Looking through the Nantucket Brand website, there's lots of things I would love to have. The two things at the top of my list are the Hooded Anorak Jacket and the Peacoat. Nothing like some nice outerwear to get you in the mood for fall and all the lovely layering it entails!

Best of luck to everyone entering the giveaway!!
